Improving

I know i haven't blogged in a long time but i am getting back on track with that.  I have been practicing alot lately.  Sento nel core is getting better.  I need to open my mouth more and i still have trouble with the 'r' in certo.  Today I had a rehearsal with phil and he was really impressed with my sound this semester.  He said that my voice and when i play my flute sounds good.  He also said it is like i am a different person.  I was happy when he said that.  It made me feel good.  Die lotus blume is coming along too.  I started to memorize Die lotus blume, sento nel core, and le dromadaire.  I think i am doing very well this semester.

French why dont you like me?

I've been doing pretty well lately.  I have been practicing "Lydia" and it is still kicking my butt.  The words aren't as bad as they were before but i want to tend to speed up faster than it needs to go.  I have my songs on my ipod so i listen to them whenever i drive somewhere or walk.  "Nel cor piu non mi sento" is coming along too.  I hope to have this memorized by next week for the next recital.  I love to sing Italian. It is one of my favorites.  I also want to speed up in this song too.  I have also been working on my high range by thinking skinny and doing some E vowel warm ups.  I actually have been looking in the mirror so i know how big my mouth should be.  I'm starting to get scared for barriers as it starts getting closer and closer.  I will be ok. I hope........

Crazy Languages

So in my last lesson we worked on Lydia, That one german song i forgot the name of at this moment in time and Nel cor piu non mi sento.  We mainly worked on the words so i could have it down by the time I have my next lesson.  Lydia is what i have the most trouble with because it is french. i like german and italian. i like nothing else. NOTHING!!!  but ive been practicing and its going slow but i think ill get it sometime i hope.

NATS ALL DONE!!!

I know i am suppose to be posting but i just keep forgetting to do it.  I have been improving a lot since last semester. i am more on pitch.  I know i need to watch the tempo and rhythm in my songs especially in Lydia.  I want to go faster than it should be.  This weekend was the NATS competition.  i believe i did pretty good.  i was proud of what i got for my scores also.
